Ive got one on my JP6 and as soon as I'm not feeling lazy anymore I'm going to remove it. It just doesn't work that well

I've had one in my Jem for a little over two years now but I really don't like it. The only reason it's still in there is because I'm going to be replacing the bridge altogether and when I do, the tremol-no will go in a box where I will probably never see it again and I will install an ESP arming adjuster on the new one. Like someone else said...great idea, but not the best execution. I ordered mine within the first month they were available to order so maybe some of the design flaws have been worked out, but based on what I've dealt with I would say that it is not an ideal product.

Ordered it directly from Ernie Ball. It was the same exact plate. -Phil

it really isnt. It is when you first get it. But now its like if I rest my hand on the bridge and apply minimal pressure, my guitar is completely out of tune.

Well, I'm glad I inquired about it then! Isn't there another similar product on the market?

I dunno guys. I have a very early one (clamp style) on my JP and it works just fine. I also dremmeled a opening in a backplate for mine - got a spare one from Mr Dubaldo.

Yeah this is exactly it. That rotating joint where the tailpiece attaches to the bridge has developed play in it on both units I've had on my JP6. It results in a knocking sound when you bend or vibrato and the remaining strings will go sharp if you drop the E to D etc... I took it out. It's a good idea but Kevan needs to redesign it to eliminate these problems I think. He's a good guy and has good customer service, so I hope this happens at some point... |
